How Our Story Began

Eyes Off 5th is a family-owned and operated optical boutique founded by Frank and Michele Rescigna. Built on a unique foundation of expertise, integrity, and personalized service, the boutique reflects principles that are increasingly rare in today’s optical industry. Their commitment to providing exceptional vision care—paired with the highest quality eyewear and lenses—is matched only by the care and attention they extend to every client, treating each one like family.

With more than 40 years of combined experience across the optical, beauty, and fashion consulting industries, Frank and Michele Rescigna bring a distinctive blend of skills and insight to meet every eyecare need with precision and style.

Michele Rescigna has over 30 years of experience in the fashion and beauty industry. A licensed cosmetologist and aesthetician, she owned and operated two leading salons on Long Island, where she specialized in trend-forward haircuts, expert color services, skin analysis, and the latest nail techniques and treatments.

In addition, Michele is a certified personal stylist and image consultant with extensive fashion industry experience. She is passionate about helping women and men discover their personal style in a way that complements all aspects of their lives. Her keen fashion sense—combined with expertise in hair color, skin tone, and face shape analysis—allows her to curate eyewear looks that are both fashion-forward and timeless, seamlessly transitioning from the boardroom to the ballroom and even the beach.
